Domestic Medical Travel vs International Medical Tourism

I’ve noticed something really interesting over the last couple of weeks and that is that in our industry when people refer to domestic travel for medical care, it is pretty consistently referred to as “domestic medical travel”. But when people cross the border and go internationally it is widely referred to as “medical tourism”. I really wonder why that is and I am very interested to get feedback from my viewers about why that might be.
